Prior to founding Viaduct Performance Consulting, founder and principal Matt Swayhoover gained more than 30 years of leadership experience in a variety of international, commercial, government professional services, non-profits, and consulting organizations. He has created performance-focused solutions for Fortune 500 enterprises with large, geographically dispersed workforces and smaller organizations with unique challenges. Over the course of his career, he has developed powerful listening skills and deep insights into best practices around leadership development, team building, and coaching.

Matt Swayhoover

Matt Swayhoover is the founder of Viaduct Performance Consulting LLC, a Northern Virginia-based business focused on helping to close the gap between potential and business results. As principal performance consultant, Matt collaborates with clients to identify and courageously address the obstacles that constrain high performance.

Approach
Harnessing listening as a superpower, Matt’s steadfast approach is outcomes-based as he collaborates with his clients to identify and prioritize the activities most likely to yield breakthrough results. Through the use of thoughtful questioning, appreciative inquiry, widely adopted performance models and diagnostic tools, Matt coaches his clients to envision and implement a path to new levels of performance. His use of disciplined project management ensures the achievement of desired outcomes, delivered within schedule and budget.

Experience
Matt’s 30 years of professional experience include diverse leadership roles across various types of organizations: publicly-traded international, commercial, government professional services, non-profit and consulting organizations. Matt has developed deep insights into best practices around organizational performance, leadership development, team building, and coaching. Having facilitated hundreds of corporate succession planning conversations over the course of his career, Matt is uniquely positioned to share his inside knowledge and insights regarding what C-suite executives demand most of, and how they get the most out of, their rising star talent.

  • More than twenty years of experience implementing performance-focused solutions in organizations with $1 – 4B in revenue, featuring large, geographically dispersed employee populations as large as 200,000 employees, as well as smaller organizations with as few as 50 employees.

  • Proven success executing both broad and targeted initiatives including team building, management and leadership development, succession readiness, coaching and employee engagement.

  • Designed and facilitated thousands of hours of impactful outcomes-based meetings, team workshops, training, and strategic off-sites.

  • Coached leaders from the emerging to executive levels for over ten years.
